Sunday (6/21) we did the father's day stuff at the Tarpon Springs sponge docks. After having some gyros at Plaka's we took my 22 month old son to the Tarpon aquarium. He stood at the aquarium glass and was in total awe. Every time one of the nurse sharks would swim by the glass he would jump back about 2 feet - it was hilarious :sharkattack:. I tried to get him to pet the stingrays, but he did not want any part of that. :D

Scott, the owner of the aquarium said they swam with whale sharks earlier this month off of Tarpon Springs

Forget snapper: 3 Tarpon Springs fishermen wind up swimming with whale sharks - St. Petersburg Times

Perfect Father's Day Sean :thumbs-up

 I think I am going to cry! I wanna swim with the whale shark :bawling:

Hello all, July 11 - 18 my wife and I will be back and forth between Holmes Beach and Sanibel. My wife doesn't dive but I would love to get a couple of shore dives in while down there, especially around the Venice Beach area (wanna get my hands on some fossils). If anyone is interested in buddying up with me for some dives, please message or email me.
Thanks

Back from the Keys, and ton of diving. :)

Sorry we missed the M&G. This was a last second trip.

We found a dive op we love. Weather was crazy. Nothing like seeing the underside of your boat when your reaching for the ladder. Report to come later.

Hello to all,
Miss "D" Jen and I, along with a few friends, went to a cool place the other day. As we were walking out, we said to each other that this would be a cool place for a meet and greet. It's a place called Ozona Blue. It is west of alt. 19 and between Tampa road and Curlew. It is a real cool place, in a marina, and has a pool and hot tub. They have a good selection of food, and true to us a great drink selection.

Ozona Blue it is! :)

I feelm like I am talking to myself in this "chat thread". Anywhoozle, five dives this weekend. :D Venice and Spanish Rocks on Saturday then a last minute three-tanker w/ Captain Earl yesterday. Yesterday was some pretty good fishing. Lots of great sized mangroves, spanish mackerel (which I tried a new seasoning on yesterday - delicious), hog and a flounder (actually he was from the day before). So dinner was great last night. I think the mackerel ended up being the tastiest. :thumbs-up

Dived with a couple new people yesterday. Very cool. One of the new fellas just joined - "spearfishanewb". We will probably be seeing more of him around here. :) Somehow I got a new stringer out of the whole dealio yesterday :D Dunno that I will ever use my other one again.
