Sweet, I'm headed off to catalina on Wednesday to do some dives with an instructor buddy of mine who's doing my AOW. I saw those pictures on another thread when I was looking for a way to get my tank over the catalina without breaking my arm, so I made one of those myself! I have to say it makes carrying my gear effortless! Definitely a smart idea!

Oren, are you sure you met the real me? Glad you and your family had a good time out here on the island. I'm so used to solo diving that I make a pretty poor buddy, but we were same ocean same day (folks, in case you think I abandoned Oren, I didn't). That first dive of the day on the Neptune was so awesome because that's the dive on which I saw my first Dendronotus iris nudibranch in Catalina waters.

Hmm. Let's review.

You looked like your avatar (with a bit of further ripening). You answered to "Dr. Bill." You answered all my marine biology questions without hesitation (and appear to have been correct). You dove on the King Neptune. Your "holey" wetsuit was truly atrocious.

Yep. It was you, alright!

It was truly a pleasure.
