I have gone to G.C. 3 times in the last 5 years. My first trip was the 7 Mile beach "Cattle Call". I had the luck on that trip to get in one day of diving on the East End. I've never been diving in the West (7 Mile) since!! Ocean Frontiers is my favorite operator on the Island. Great boats, no crowds, Great Sites (Babylon, the Grdens, Blow Hole, Cinderella's Castle the list goes on & On) . They offer packages with on & Off site lodging. Try the Lighthouse ressturant for a "Classy" nite out.

We stayed at the Reef Resort and dove with Ocean Frontiers last June. Excellent dive operation and great dives. The Reef resort is out of the way and very nice.

Ditto on the Professionalism and courtesy of Ocean Frontiers...they love to dive...thanks Gary and Ross!!

PS. Skip Red Sail - overpriced...at least $15 more per dives than the rest...

I just got back from a week with Ocean Frontiers and I can't say enough nice things about the suites, boats and staff. Well appointed rooms, boats are roomy and aren't packed to the gills, staff is so darn courteous and hard-working that it should be illegal. :D

Slight caveat, OF is on the far side of the East End, so it's a good 20-30 minute drive to Bodden Town/George Town/Kaibo Yacht Club. There is a wonderful Italian resturant called Portofino's about a mile away, but that's it. Of course, the rooms have full kitchens, washer/dryer, TVs (one livingroom, one bedroom) with satellite, DVD player and 6-disk CD stereo, so you could have just as much fun in the room on SIs as you could out of it.

To me, it was paradise. I went there to dive. If I wanted night life, I would have gone to the Keys or Cozumel. If you want breathtaking wall dives, abundant aquatic life and great shallower 2nd dives with more swim-throughs than you can shake a stick at, OF is THE resort/dive op for you.

I will be going back, I just hope it won't be too long, I miss it already.

First let me give a warm and sincere "THANK YOU!" to everyone who has offered advice and opinions for my up coming trip. :luxhello:

Now the bad news..."Due to circumstances beyond my control (marrital strife, people changing jobs thus no vacation time, and the general inability of one person to let go of a grudge) the highly anticipated trip to Grand Cayman is now officially off! :censored: I am in the process of requesting a refund of the depost, yes...everyone was happy enough to secure a deposit.

Oh well, can't let this get me too down...I guess I'll just have to find some place to go and dive with out the others. Thanks again to everyone for their advice and ideas...I will have to wait a little longer to visit the Caymans.:banghead:
