I had fun on the Kittiwake, moving through the ship was cool an it was fun to go up into the room with the air pocket. Lots of silver sides and bigger fishes on the inside too. Then again i'm a fan of wrecks in general so maybe that's why.

Agreed with letting the guide choose the site based on conditions though, I think it's really hard to find a bad site on cayman

I have thoroughly enjoyed my dives with Epic. Nice people who genuinely love to dive. I would leave it up to them to pick the site based on conditions.

Hi all,

Spoke with Tom from Off the Wall Divers and they probably will not be able to accommodate us due to our ship's arrival time. I can say, he has awesome customer service and said that they could take us for a guide shore dive on a wall or mini-wall (depending on how far we want to swim out). I also contacted Epic Divers and they also have excellent customer service. Freddy from Epic said they can accommodate us for a two-tank boat dive - yea! They have good reviews on Trip Advisor. I would like to know if anyone out here on this board have used them and how was your experience?

Lastly, are there any specific sites we should try and request? We love wall diving so we are looking forward to our day of diving there.

Thanks,
cruzbound

Hi all,

Thanks so much for the suggestions and feedback on Epic. We really appreciate it. So, weather permitting, should we ask Epic if they can take us north - is that the best area? We definitely want to do wall dives - we love them. Are there any particular ones we should ask about (if the weather allows us to go to them)?

Grand Cayman is surrounded by walls to all sides. They vary in how sheer/vertical they are, though. The west is more gradually sloping. The north and east more sheer. Lots of chimneys, chutes, etc and incredibly vast. When you talk about want to dive walls in cayman, I think you would be remiss if you didn't dive the north wall.

Cayman Turtle Divers-----JT runs a safe, professional operation. Dove with him off a cruise last year. Took us to the "other" Stingray City----without the tourists. Will meet you at the tender dock and wisk you away to his new boat.

I also did Cobalt Coast with Divetech a few years ago. Great operation. We did several dives to the great north wall, Stingray City and the Kittiwake right after it was sunk. All great dives. I wouldn't skip any of them.

I just got back from diving GC. Amazing. I went with Deep Blue Divers on recommendation from a few friends. Nick and crew are amazing you'll certainly be extremely pleased with them. Small boats (6ppl) and will pick you up. The walls are amazing! We hopped over to the sand bar on a surface interval on our way to romaine reef. No other boats there, we had the rays all to ourselves.
