Hello,

I'm trying to find the GPS#s for the wreck of the "Gulf Pride", one local dive shop says some call it the "Gulf Land".

It is an old tanker located 2 miles north of the Jupiter inlet, 40' deep.

My dive book shows the Loran #s but no GPS#s and an internet search has been unsuccesful as well.

Thanks for your help!

Mark

There is no such wreck as the "Gulf Pride." This has been an error that several books keep making. The wreck in question is a small section of the bow from the GULFLAND, a tanker that collided with the GULF BELLE. The wreck was eventually raised and towed in, but a section of the bow tore loose. The full history and pics of the wreck (including after her salvage) can be seen in a new book I just published called SHIPWRECKS OF THE SUNSHINE STATE: FLORIDA'S SUBMERGED HISTORY. There is a link in my sig for anyone interested.

GULFLAND: 27° 00.468N, 80° 04.795W
