I went to the LDS yesterday and picked up regulators and guages. The Mares Abyss seems outstanding. Hooked the rig up to a tank and took a couple of breaths and all seemed to work.

I went with pretty cheap guages, and I'm not sure the depth guage is going to be functional. It registered at zero in the living room and then I took it down to the basement and there was no change!........ :)

Wet suits and the rest are on their way!

April First at Whitestar is the big day!
Thanks for your help, MNdiver.

I had to fix my basement last year. I didn't want it to be a depth gage testing site! And the fix cost quite a bit more than my drysuit....:-(

Basements can be a bummer. I recently purchased a new home, and we shopped until we found a dry basement. Doesn't mean we won't have to fix it someday, but I didn't want to start out with that problem.

I hope your basement is as dry as your suit.

When we built our house we put our basement on top of the garage--stays dry that way :D

rember "dry Suit" is a relative term ;)
I've had more drysuit floods then basment floods so far. but I have a used dry suit and a new basment.
