GATOR!!!
I can dive with gators up to 12'. After that, I just don't trust them. I was on a fossil dive in the Tomoka River (mostly manatee and giant sloth bones) when the lead grabbed a gator tail thinking it was a megladon tooth. He learned to walk on water that day... so did the gator. Gators are more afraid of you than you think. I do hope to dive the Cooper one day. Just dove Venice beach, but the vis was beyond bad and it was quite non-productive. The only fossil I brought up was Walter.
