My wife and I are going to Cabo in mid-November and are trying to decide whether we should dive Cabo Pulmo or Gordo Banks. We of course would love to see schooling hammerheads and manta rays, but from everything I have read it is hit or miss and often miss. And if you don't see those things, you don't see much of anything. Cabo Pulmo seems like a great location with at least a guarantee of seeing lots of sea life.

So I would love to hear your thoughts on which to do and why.

We dove a two tank day with East Cape Explorers to Gordo Banks (we did not do Cabo Pulmo) in June. Yes, the "schools of sharks" is hit or miss, but there is a lot more to see there as well. There are huge schools of fish there, sea lions, and other life. We did not see the shark schools, but did have a 6' Mako swim with us for about 20 minutes.
