I have the extra battery pack from gopro on mine.

Charging using an iPhone wall plug & supplied USB cable, connected to wall outlet, takes more than 12 hrs.

Is this normal and is there a faster but safe way? Thanks!
 
I know just charging the camera varies on the power capabilities of your USB source, maybe try a different wall adapter?
