place to dive would be in Grand Cayman, take him to Stingray City for a 15 ft. dive he'll never forget, as well as you'll have a blast too feeding stingrays. There are plenty places to visit, dive (both shore and boat). Both of my sons dive as well as my wife, we've enjoyed many trips together.

as for what Drew said when i went there i had about 15 dives under my belt. <snip> as i said before i was 15 1/2 when i went, so the age gap isn't much. <snip> I had no problem with the drift diving, or diving deep

Only concern is that standards are different for 14 yr olds than 15+. At age 14, there is a depth limit of 60ft for Jr Open Water divers.

There is no reason to push the depth since there will be future vacations when he is older.
