Totally agree with you TCW. As a Malaysian living abroad, went back to Perhentian for diving is always been in my agenda. I got my OW last year in Perhentian Besar with Seahorse Dive Center. Been diving in UAE, Indonesia and Thailand, but Perhentian is definitely a place i'd go back again and again as i just recently certified for Advance, i'd really like to go back and go deeper :bounce:

You guys think 3mm exposure full suit is too much?

Hi sushi, back from the trip?
i will be heading to perhentian 1st wk of april.. hope to hear some comments from u.

cheers,
max

hi maxteo. i'll be there at the same time too! just wondering, where will u be staying/diving with? big or small island?
i heard diving's quite good this season.. maybe it's still the season opening and more big fishes around.

cheers!

By the way, do you know the best way to get to Perhentian from Bangkok? One site suggested flying to Narathiwat and continuing by taxis and buses, but I can't find such flight at least from Thai Airlines' site. The closest flight destination I can find is Hat Yai, which is not so bad either, but it would be nice to be able to fly even closer, if that is just possible.

OMG I will be doing my courses at FloraBay from 28th March itll end of May so i guess i'll see u there! have u been diving with them before?

errm.. Kris,.. i think the best way is to take a flight to Hatyai or train to AlorSetar, then from there take a bus/taxi to Kuala Besut, Kota Bharu.

Unless u don't mind paying extra, u could fly to KL from Bangkok, and then from KL to Kota Bharu.

Sure thing!! Just make sure u look for me 'Au Yong' or 'Seok' or 'Seok Wun'. I will be doing my divemaster and IDC there. See you then!!

P.S: where r u from btw?
