Good Dive Operations in/near Ponce, Puerto Rico

I have a customer headed to Ponce, Puerto Rico and he asked me to find him a good dive operation in the area. I have not personally dived in PR and I am getting very limited and mixed reviews from my Internet searches. Any input would be most appreciated. Again, what I need most is the name of a good dive charter operation to get him out to the reefs.

We did dive in La Parguera, which was very nice and is supposed to be good land-based diving in PR. See my trip report here. I did a fair amount of research before going. We dove with West Divers. They were very good and we saw some cool stuff. No big animals but some interesting walls, and other sights.If you can make it to La Parguera, I highly recommend them.

La Parguera is about an hour from Ponce down Route 2 and then Route 116 and then Route 304.

If you want to dive out of Ponce, I have only heard of Blue Water Scuba (http://www.bluewaterscubapr.com). I do not know if the web site is current because it still shows the La Parguera location which I believe closed. I have never dove with Blue Water Scuba so I cannot offer any additional info. Please keep us posted on your customer's experience and encourage him to post a trip report!

I am currently vacationing in my beautiful
Island. I have also heard a bluewaterscuba from a friend of mine who owns a Dive Operation in Mayaguez. If he is staying in Ponce he can dive with any operation in the west side if the island. Island Scuba out of Guanica ( I will be diving w them Mar 3) The dive shop-pr in mayaguez... WestDivers, Paradise Scuba or Papayo Divers in La Parguera. Taino Divers in Rincon. PR Technical Divers and Aquatica Dive and Surf in Aguadilla. Check this website. Www.divewestpr.com

Well I just came back form PR and Dove with Blue Water Scuba at of Ponce. Jesus took us to two sites near the Isla De Caja De Muertos... they were beautiful and as spectacular as Guanica /Parguera. I will be posting pics soon and a trip report.
