I took the plunge and ordered the Golem 35 SS Combo. Should get it next week. Well I won't be diving till next summer, so will have many months to thread the webbing ...

Congrats on your purchase! However, there is some "bad" news... you won't need to thread the webbing. The BP/Wing comes pre-rigged. You will only need to adjust it to suit your body.

Looking forward to reading of your first dive in the rig!

Cheers,

Andrew

Actually,

The BP does not come pre-rigged anymore. It is easer to pack and ship if it is flat, and BP rigging is very personal and part of the BP/W "experience" :D

Has the sale ended on this item?

Lol I guess I waited to long to order it

I got my Golem Gear combo just a couple days ago. Seems to be a very well made piece of equipment and I am a happy camper. It certainly took me awhile to figure out the harness setup though! Threading the webbing was easy, but attaching that buckle (securely) to the webbing took me more than a few minutes to figure out. Then when I finally got it, I was like :11doh:

If you're interested in a combo, drop Jakub an email at sales@golemgear.com . He was more than accommodating last year when I missed the Christmas specials by a few days. ;)

Has anyone really had luck emailing these guys? I've sent 2 emails within the past couple of weeks and still haven't received an answer. I'd hate to wait if an order is wrong or I have a problem with their gear.

Doug

I just got a Golem rig a couple of weeks ago. For some my email server kept blocking his responses to me. He Knew that I was on Scuba Board and ended up sending me a PM through here. Jakub's user name on Scuba Board is lof

I am really happy with my new rig. Very solid, well made gear. Hope you are able to get in touch with him. I know with the holidays he has been traveling a lot.

Good Luck!
