Well, we are about one week out from driving down to Florida. Still time for others to join in for the trip!

I would suggest that you plan both days on the Oriskany... we were there twice as a dive center and blown out for 3 of the four days... on one of the blowouts we were able to get out to some of the near shore wrecks since they were not opposed to being 4 miles off shore... just opposed to 20 miles off shore.

Good luck... we are trying to go again in June if anyone wants to join us... we are planning 4 dives on the Oriskany... check out Divers Incorporated, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Scuba classes, Scuba Equipment, Dive Lessons and Travel at Divers Incorporated, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ann Arbors first PADI National Geograpic Dive Center, Specializing in Dive Travel, Scuba Adventures, Lake H for video and pictures from our last trip.

Some of us have never dove warm water, or salt water before, and we're planning on using bigger tanks. So, with three new environmental factors, we are making the first day a little less demanding to get acclimated before the O the second day, and get a GOOD weight check in.

Hey all,

I've been in touch with a dive shop down in Pensacola, and have set up dives for 24 and 25 March. 24 March will be a couple close in wrecks (tentatively a Navy F6F and a freighter). 25 March will be 2 dives on the Oriskany.

If interested let me know, I'll send particulars.

So far, I've got 3 of us going.

Well Steve and I arrived in Pensacola today, Adam wussed out on us. Left Dayton about 6am, arrived here about 5:30.

There's a hotel about 2 doors down from the dive shop. And there's a nice BBQ joint about 5 blocks away that was real good for dinner.

7:15am show time to go dive on some closer in wrecks to get used to warm water and salt water.

Well, looking forward to the am!

Well, it turns out that 20-30 mph winds are enough to blow us out down here. Strike 1. :lightingz

Well, tomorrow is our next try.
