Dawn is liquid dishwashing soap. And as stated all through this thread-it will clean anything.

As far as "number 2" goes...I have to have the head. But I know it has been done in the ocean-during the dive. And they had a shorty wet suit on. Impressive.

Ok, I have 2 questions...

Also.... Have you ever hired a wet suit that has been peed in a lot, you never know until you have heated it up with body warmth and then removed it post dive to that delicate smell of stale pee. EWWWWWWWWWWW

EEEWWW i So know that feeling !! gross.. that happened to me.. and not only that..but when i took it off back at the hut/store (this was on a beach in the philippines)..the divemaster asked me "did u pee in it?" and i was like.. "no..why?" and he said "cuz if you did..i'd hafta wash it!" GROSSSSS gross im never gona rent a wetsuit again..

A very simple solution to the rental suit, soaked in pee, is to buy your own. Brand new-not used. Then you know it is pee-free.

When I was certified, the DM told our class that you could always always always tell if someone peed in their wetsuit. He said you could smell it a mile away....So I have never ever peed in the wetsuit. I will hold it and hold it, I just won't pee in the wetsuit. :eek:ut:

Vomiting, peeing, dropping the kids off at the ocean,..surely this must be a guys board in disguise?

For one, ladies dont go number 2....they just cant..its impossible! Ok, some ladies do, but not all.

As long as were on the subject of bodily functions...ladies...when aunt FLOW arrives and you go diving...do you ever wonder if the sharks know..I bet they do. Sharks can sense one drop of blood in some ungodly amount of water....hmmmm..interesting!

I wonder if Spectre or Uncle Pug know the answer..not that they menstruate...unless it was Spectrina or Aunt Pug....hmmmm..interesting.

Technically, if one farts at 100ft..the gas will expand all the way to the surface, thus killing any coral, fish, etc and possible divers on the way up.

But if I were I would say that yes they can detect it and probably don't find it in the least bit appetizing.

And from what I hear... ladies don't fart either... so that is a non-issue.

That the topic of "flow" has been covered and the Docs have made some interesting comments.

Not what you would think.

P.S. Guys, let's try to clean this up a bit.

I've only dove from a charter boat a few times, because we have our own boat. The DM gave instructions for using the "head" and they were so foreign and daunting to me, I just waited. Not very comfortable to do when you're supposed to be drinking a lot of water before and after a dive. Our boat is a 19 foot SeaRay and takes care of us 6 divers pretty well. But it does not have a head, and since I got my new wet suit, I am averse to "fouling" it. Good thing the other divers are all family, so I don't get too much teasing when I have to jump in the river (w/o my wet suit on) after a dive. Even though they all know why I went overboard, it's still better to have a clean suit. We've already discussed the requirement of a "bathroom" on our next boat, whenever that may be. BTW, thanks for the tips about Dawn. I must have missed the details about the baby shampoo as a defogger. I've always used the free stuff--and rinsed well--but would like to try this other method. Do you just apply a small amount inside and out and rinse well?
