My son and I just got back yesterday from Ginnie Springs. Yes, after cancelling this trip three times we finally made it for spring break. The weather was perfect for camping. We stayed three days and dove the Ginnie basin and the Devils system several times. The water was unbelievably clear and 72 degrees. The topside temps got up to around 85 every day. My favaorite part was the Ginnie cavern. The steel grate closing off the cave system was at 50 feet and the current was screaming. We had to fin like mad to get to it and then grab hold. The water rushing out felt like wind blowing on your face and the sound was like a train. Very cool! I'm going outside in the cold now to rinse all the sand out of the gear and put it up till Joe's opens. Hope to see some of you there. :D

Hey John,
Glad to hear you made it into Ginnie! Just wish we could have gone together!
Did you do a night dive into the cavern? If you have some time would you mind
coming over and cleaning the Fla sand out of my van, heck if we combine the
sand from the two vehicles, maybe some kid could enjoy a sand box.

We did'nt do a night dive. I thought about it but by night time we were pretty much exhausted and just chilled by the campfire.

The sand gets everywhere don't it. My son said the only thing he missed about Ky was the dirt! I got a chuckle out of that.

yeah my daughter and I were there last Monday and it was GREAT!!. We really enjoyed the fish and we saw a fresh water flounder in one of the Devil's overall it was a really great dive! Didn't go in the cavern any daughter was leary about it so since buddy didn't want to go we didn't but had a great time anyway up until her computer battery died but we still managed to get in about 9 dives altogether (probably more since we lost count and my computer memory only keeps 9 then starts dumping the last one. The fish were fun to play with alot different than those pirana's at Joe's these were actually friendly and liked to play.
