I hope this a perfect opportunity to get some help from you cave divers...

I am looking forward to gettting my cavern diving course under my belt once and for all. I have been silly and done many a cave penetration in Europe with only ice and wreck OHE experience before. I would like to formalise my OHE.

I live in Curacao so that's 2 hours from Miami and after that....please tell me the easiest way to the best place to dive and qualify in the springs.

Fly a bit further north of Miami into Central FL. There are tons of caverns and instructors sprinkled throughout the area. GDI here on SB teaches, shoot him a PM.

Like the BuG dude said, fly a little further north, say Jacksonville or Orlando. Cave country is only a couple of hours or so away. There are places there that rent rooms short term, plus the various hotels.

If your basic skills are good, you might consider doing cavern & Intro to Cave all at once, considering that you are having to travel to get here.

Lot's of instructors, ask in the Cave Diving subforum about different ones, you should get more info then you want out of that.

Thanks....I'll start asking around. I suppose it would be fairly easy to link up with a small group as I would be as a single student for these courses...my wife won't be interested in this but she'll want to be tehre to make sure I am ok.

I'll check the cave forum as suggested.
