Hi All,

I'm headed up to Ginnie Spring this weekend and I'm contemplating bringing my boat. Are there any other good dive sites in the area, and if so, would they be better accessed by boat?

TIA

A quick peek on the map on page #82 of Diving Guide To Underwater Florida (buy this book!) it looks like Ginnie is just up river from July Spring, Blue Springs - Santa Fe River, Naked Spring, Rum Island Spring, Lily Spring and Poe Spring.

I only have blue spring marked as one of my "spots to go to", but it does not allow scuba, freediving only. Looking in the book, it does say lily spring is no longer open to the public. Poe spring looks promising though, scuba allowed, 80 ft diameter, boat ramp is available, entrance fee is charged.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I had a good time at Ginnie Springs. I didn't have the time I'd thought I have, to explore the area. Maybe next time I can check out Poe Spring.

You're welcome :)

That area is on our to-do list, for sure. I think one weekend will be Devil's Den and Rainbow River, and another weekend for the Ginnie and surrounding area.
