The night before is the only way to take Dramamine. I get sick in seas of 4-6 or better, and in 10 footers (when the boat is hooked) I am worthless. If I know I am going to get pounded, I start the night before, 50 mg. My crew know to get out of my way if I am not properly medicated, because I am jumping out and making a negative entry to get out of the surf. I rarely get sick, though, because who wants to be out in those seas anyway.

Does anyone know where to buy the "relief bands" for a discount?

Leisure Pro has them for $129 each

Unlikely you'll do significantly better than Leisure Pro.

Best of luck.

Tried Ginger last night. It worked. :)

Ginger (root) capsules

Dosage:
2 capsules 1.1 g (1100 mg) - 550 mg each capsule. Aprox. 4 1/2 hrs before activity.
1 capsule 550 mg - aprox 1 hr before activity.

Not a recommendation. I will play with dosage and time to find optimum dosage for me. Much clearer head than Dramamine.

Thanks all for the advice, specially DocVikingo for bringing up that study. One of the problems with this type of advice is that you really don't know where to start, since everyone seems to recommend a different approach and substance. The study DocVikingo referred to offers a solid starting point.
