I'm going up to Gilboa this weekend for my AOW dives. Probably going to be camping if I can figure out what to do with my dog. If anyone had any plans to be there, let me know so we can grab some food or something. I could probably be persuaded to do an extra dive on Sunday as well.

Hope you are all having a good week!

I'm already doing 2 dives on Sunday, but if you find someone else to come up, I'll tag along for a 3rd unless my nose has frozen off my body :D

Are you going with Central Coast? I was thinking about heading up on Saturday. Right now I have a few choices as destinations including Gilboa, Blue Springs, and a dm from central coast had mentioned to me about wanting to try circleville this weekend so I have no definite plans as of yet but I may be there.

Central Coast it is. I'm not positive, but I think we'll have a 2:1 divemaster to student ratio or something equally silly.

I guess I should make up my mind about where I intend to dive this weekend. I will be there tomorrow for a buoyancy class so maybe I will know by then. If i do go to Gilboa I don't think you can count on me to camp. My idea of roughing it is not having room service. However, I just got an email from one of their DM's telling me about a demo day at Twin Quarries so i am kind of leaning towards that and it is close enough to drive there and back in one. I guess we will all have to wait and see.

If you are camping at Gilboa, they will allow you to bring your dog, but there is a fee and I'm not sure of the amount

I can remember last summer Mike talking about the dogs being a bother barking. He said there would be no more dogs. Now I see he is not looking out for the divers that are trying to sleep but at the thickness of his pocket book. And just (FYI), I have nothing against dogs just at the whole fee thing. If divers were complaining about the barking which I have heard on a number of occasions, and easy way to remedy that situation would be not to have dogs there, which was already decided. Now the divers still have to hear the barking just like before but now the owner profits from it @ $20.00 a head. I don't understand that one. Oh well, I guess I'll shut up now before I get myself in trouble from voicing my opinion.
