Hey ya'll, A friend and I will be at Gilboa on 8/21 for a day of diving. I'll be breaking in my new 120 HP Steel with H valve and trying to set up my weight system. If anybody wants to join us, come on down (or up, or out).

If you're AOW, have redundant system, have at least 30 cold water dives, and can answer Mike's questions to his satisfaction, Maybe he'll let you on the deep side. If you have never been in Gilboa, he will want you to do an 80 ft. dive first, then maybe he'll let you on the deep side. Good looks, batting eyes, and smiles won't move Mike in the least.:kiss2:

What time are you gonna be there Denny ?

We'll be there about 9 - 9:30 a.m. Hope to get in about 3 dives that day.

I'm AOW, have been to gilboa before, no redundant system though.. and no 30 cold water dives... are you only going to be diving over the wall?

Deep is the one thing Gilboa's got that no one else does... (you can pretend deep in the crusher pitt at the W-star, don' even Think about it at Portage).

I'd of course Like to get an over the wall dive in , but I don' get a chance to get down there much an if I can dive with GLWC peeps I'll make the trip (even if I gotta stay shallow side)...

30 coldwater dives ya' say Denny? I knew he had a minimum of 50 dives, but at least 30 of them have to be coldwater eh?...

MissT , Mike Finally just let ME over the wall last month.... I was doin' my deep cert (last requirement for Advanced)... I had over 130 dives, had experience to 120' in Lake Erie, cold water rated reg, LP 121 with 40 cf pony and even then we almost didnt get to do the dive (because my Instructor had never been there before)... so yeah, forget about it... wont happen....

I would love to meet you guys down there on Friday but work has other plans. Planning on meeting marshall down at Gilboa Saturday (8-22) morning for a few dives. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up. I will also have to stay shallow @ Gilboa for a while.

No---My dive buddy, although a very experienced diver, does not have his AOW cert. so we will be cruising the shallows no deeper than the tubes.
