Hello everyone at GLWC! I've been reading posts on ScubaBoard for over 2 years now, finding new insights on gear, the best diving sites, and laughing at all the great jokes. On the other hand, this happens to be my first 'official' post...

About 2 months ago, I purchased a DUI dry suit from my LDS, graduated from the Dry Suit Certification course, and dove twice out at WhiteStar last month. Since this weekend's weather is looking to shape up, I'm planning to venture out to Gilboa on Friday and dive for the weekend. However, my LDS and associated divers are not going to be attending the demo days. In light of this situation, I think it's time to climb out of my shell and meet some new divers and make new friends. The GLWC sounds like a great bunch of people and I would be honored to dive with you guys!

Thanks for listening to my rabbling and hope to hear from you all!

My gal and I are planning on being there so she can try out a suit. We'll (hopefully) be tent camping next to a green Plymouth minivan. Stop by and say hi!

We're taking our OW certification dives there this weekend. Just look for the confused people in the ill-fitting wetsuits.

I've been wanting to get over there and hang out with you folks but I aint going near the place on a DUI day. Way too crazy for me.

I planned on going but diving my diving has been curtailed for a short while. (I'll post separately.)

However, my club is still going and I'll let JHAM who's also on SCUBABOARD to look for you.

Thanks for all the responses, I appreciate it. I'll be driving a gold Subaru Legacy with vanity plates that read 'YNG VINE,' so if anyone spots me, please stop over to say 'hi' as well!

I'm with Mike, we're going to avoid the Dog Daze; we'll hit Whitestar on Friday and Portage on Saturday. Have a great weekend at Gilboa!

It wasn't too bad this year. The camping area was packed, but it wasn't overcrowded with people walking all over each other like last year..... One you cleared the shallows & got away from the student heavy areas the viz was decent too....
