I prefer a forward off-axis half-twist with a Liberian finish. Similar to a Ukrainian finish but without the high heels in winter. It places my shoulder square in the face of any potential objects, marine life, errant divers and snorkelers, sharks that are a little too comfortable and need a reminder about who's the boss, etc.
