Hi all,

I haven't been around here for quite some time. Work and other things have kept the Mrs. and me away from diving. We want to get back into it this year. Need some help though.

We need to get our equipment checked out/serviced. The shop we used to use went out of business. (Miss you Roxie and David. :depressed:) Can someone recommend a shop in SW Houston with good customer service and fair prices? (Or do I ask too much?) We'll need a refresher course also so if you could recommend someone.

I see that Twin Lakes is not only still open but has been busy making improvements. A group from this board used to be down there almost every weekend, at least during the summer. Do y'all still meet down there?

Looking forward to getting wet again this summer.

Chuck at Houston Scuba Academy is one of the few people I let service my regs. No comment about GM.

We used to be at Twin lakes every weekend. Then life happened, some medical problems to deal with and work slowed down. So we plan to get back into the swing of things.

The water was 68º at the surface at TL on Sunday. The water level is coming up nicely and Mike has done alot of maintenance to the place this winter. A couple of the platforms need to be repaired and moved farther out but that won't effect your diving. I just got a new shorty so I'll be testing it out in 2 weeks, you're more than welcome to join us.

If you get to Austin area, there is a lot of good dive shops and avid divers that can help you out.

I agree with Dee on TL.
