Get wet, LA area Feb 25 - 27

Work will have me in the LA area Feb 28 - Mar 3. Naturally, I'm hauling my gear along and flying out a few days early, hoping to get wet.

I've read the other "in LA in Feb" thread, and found good tips on places to dive. (thanks, folks!)

Looking for buddies who want to shore dive Sat, Sun, and Mon around LA (basically anywhere from Ventura to La Jolla) those days or nights. If work permits, I'd be up for a night dive on Tues or Wed also, if there's any place good near Santa Monica.

I'll need to pick up tanks and lead, but will bring everything else. Need buddy or buddies who know the area.

Maybe you can join us on the Bo2vation dive? The SoCal Kelpies are diving in Ventura that Saturday 2/25. It'd be cool if you could join us.

Thought I would post here, as well... I would be happy to shore dive Saturday or Sunday in the OC area with you, Sid. Since Zendiver1 is coming in also, it would be a great chance to show our beach diving to some out-of-state ScubaBoarders... wish I could make the Bo2vation dive myself, but not able to this time.

Saturday I would vote for local beach diving, Sunday we could consider taking the ferry to Catalina, meeting up with Dr. Bill and whoever else is there, and showing you the Dive Park at Casino Point... it's a great dive!

I will keep an eye on this thread to see what shakes out for you.

Hey, Jennifer... we don't see enough of you lately. Hope all is going swimmingly for you.

I haven't been diving in the Park that much this winter. Scuba Luv lets me go on the King Neptune any time so I get to a lot of other sites and get footage I can't in the park.

I'd be all over this, but I'm in a freediving class that weekend in Malibu. Though if you make it to Catalina on Sunday I may get a chance to at least stop by and say "Hey!!", since I think we're doing open water work off the Casino. I agree with Jennifer, you really should consider a trip over to Catalina. It's the grooviest...

Well since no one else mentioned it...if you plan on being in Catalina anyway for diving the weekend before work...there is the 25th Annual Underwater Harbor Cleanup where you will meet MANY of the divers on this board.

Just a bit over three weeks Thanks Jennifer for setting us up. I will be in FL wreck diving from Feb 17-22, I then fly to the your coast on the 22nd that evening. I have some things to do on the 23-24 up in the Palmdale/Lancaster area but will make it back down to your area either that Friday night or EARLY Saturday morning for a couple of dives. Saturday, the 25th is the only day I can dive as my flight leaves out Sunday evening. So how about a Happy Hour after the diving on Saturday?

It will be great to meet everyone.

Zendiver1: Given how late I get into LA the 24th, I may not be able to join until Saturday afternoon, but I'm looking forward to it. Also have some another friend who may join us.
