He is Russian, from the russian navy. He will quickly tell you that was a previous life and he is american. Other that that he repeats that he can go to grate and back qucker than you. Even quicker than a scooter he said LOL.

Here and I would have thought that bouncing off the bottom as his videos showed would slow the guy down
Nik's a VNG (Very Nice Guy). He loves to tinker with his gear and come up with new ways to arrange tanks and to carry his camera; he likes to go fast underwater & you'll frequently see him zipping along with his monofin, with or without a tank, with or without some new camera contraption... he may be videoing himself or those around him, he may zip by horizontally or vertically. So his diving is to the sound of a different drummer, very different from mine... Sometimes he loses track of his "wake" a bit, but don't we all, from time to time? And if you ask him to do something for you, he's all over it.what's this dude like in person?...
