Gear Recalls??

My mother-in-law sits by the radio all day long and is always coming up with arcane bits of info...some of it highly inaccurate.

She told me last week that some diving equipment was being recalled because "it could kill people". I asked her what kind of equipment and she had no clue. Is there a central repository of such info? I'd like to reassure her.

Sherwood recently announced a recall for it's 1998 and newer Maximus 2nd stages. Check out the Sherwood website:

Could be anything. Body Glove is recalling some wetsuits -- details on the Rodale's site, here. Plus there's the Sherwood thing. Seems like someone is hauling something back every couple of months.

If you're concerned about your own safety, you could try checking the Web sites of the companies that manufactured your reg and BC. Not sure whether that will reassure your mother-in-law.
