I'm beginning the hunt for a different BC. I don't have very much experience but have read a few reviews here on Scubaboard and I'm interested in putting my hands on some different gear.

Specifically I'm interested in the Zeagle Express Tech and other minimalist/travel back inflate systems. Anyone headed to Millbrook for the Adventure Scuba BBQ Saturday that would be willing to talk me through the pros and cons of (and possibly let me try on) some of their gear to get a feel for how I might like it?

I'm not quite ready to dive one yet, just try them on...

I won't make it to Millbrook, but I do have a DSS backplate and wing you are welcome to come over a try.

I can't image a more compact travel setup (though you may want kydex over my ss plate). The wing pops off without so much as a screw or wing nut to roll up and put in the bag.

I'll bring my extra DR backplate/wing, rigged for a single tank. I'll be diving doubles with my other set so you are welcome to try. I'll be driving the Adventure Scuba van - come introduce yourself.

Ted

I have an express tech. Wanted something super small and light for travel and will be going out to the BBQ on saturday. I'll be the guy with the scuba gear, can't possibly miss me ;)

(Look for a maroon ford f150, yellow fins and a zeagle express tech)

Ted, Thanks again for letting me borrow the plate and wing. It really is night and day as far as diving comfort.

Scott, if you'd like to dive again some time feel free to PM me. I'll probably PM you to get/give some contact info either way.
