Thanks guys.
I also had the opportunity to meet a couple of other local GUE divers last night, including one who had just completed Tech 1 with Gideon. It was definately very interesting listening to some of the things Gideon had to say.

And I must definately add that after hearing and reading all sorts of negative vibe about the whole DIR/GUE thing, I have come nowhere near experiencing or observing anything like that.

froop, very nice!

DIR-F certainly made me a better diver

(which is not to say much, but that's beside the point!)

as to the "bad vibes" thing ... i sure as heck didn't see any. quite the contrary. everybody was helpful and polite, and very supportive

What's a "tech pass"? How is it different from, for lack of a better term, a "standard pass"?

k

For a tech pass, the student must be using double tanks and a can light, and the standards are tighter. You need a tech pass to advance to Tech 1 or Cave 1.

If I can dive doubles in the tub, I can do valve drills on the floor.
Wait for my next set of pictures...:D

cool_hardware52:
And what exactly do you find odd about this??

Tobin

Nothing odd, just dedication! :D
