I sent in my mileage from Ellensburg to Phoenix a couple weeks ago. I did not do the math, but am curious as to the results. Hopefully you can post what Susanne found with my results.

Susanne will do a rebate tomorrow. She has been traveling, and yes, she got your mileage. Thank you, and we will be back in touch.

Where are you getting your fuel? Averge price of $3.25 / gallon!!! We are paying average price of $4.98 / gallon. Processing your rebate now - this is Susanne

Well, the gas prices are a bit off because I used a 40 cent discount from Safeway and another discount from Fred Meyers. The prices in Arizona are much less than Seattle. It dropped 80 cents after leaving Washington.

Susanne has tallied your reports. She asked me to qualify that the results are not definitive because they are based on limited data, 1060 miles driving baseline as compared to 3327 miles with Pods. It is consistent with expectations of cumulative tallies for an SUV with roof racks. Roof racks create turbulence, similar to white water effect, and lower expected savings.

Baseline is mostly highway, and with Pods includes a high percentage of City, with one entry having higher than expected mileage (35 mpg). It happens but raises questions for that segment. So here we have it:

4% savings or .95 extra mpg. 19 lbs CO2 avoided. The term of savings was in 1 month.

Bob, Thanks for the update. 4% is better than nothing and I will continue to see those savings moving forward. The original intent was to improve fuel economy for the trip from WA to AZ. I believe I have covered the cost of the purchase and now can enjoy the savings moving forward. They look good on the car too!

Some might wonder why I have posted Aerohance on Scuba Board. The idea came from Whales and years of playing with Force Fin Designs. Inspiration: A Whale of an Idea | AeroHance Pods. I have developed many other ideas for Marine applications to capture energy. With Force Fin closing, I would still like to post what's happening in relation to our oceans.
