Just like in Florida, I sat beachside sipping a frosty beverage while you guys were lugging tanks without a break... I admit it, I like to party just as much as dive...

So, you going to join us on the 31st? Looking like me, nelson and maybe C-Otter.

I would love to see you!

Doder and I are going to try and make it..

She just finished her certification today! :yea:

We will also be going to the Ft. on either friday or saturday this week. :yeah:

I'm considering joining y'all, if you'll have me. It would be my first new england dive. I completed OW + 4 in Mexico in April. Also made 8 prior resort dives over last 6 years.

I'm still acquiring exposure equipment. So far, have 8mm wetsuit & booties. Have yet to buy hood & gloves, weights, and tanks. I've been reading forum on exposure suits, but would also be interested in folks' opinions and experiences being more local. I'm wondering if I'd need 8mm hood/gloves vs 5? Whaddaya think?

I found this site http://co-ops.nos.noaa.gov/nbports/3WLWind_ne.html that shows water temp currently about 52 (don't know if it's surface temp or what).

Any information on the dive profiles?

I'm in Marshfield, and could carpool with anyone local.

Also, will this be two dives?

Yak

haven't heard of 8mm before, but I'm sure that wouldn't be the first time!!

I would definitely say a cold water hood and gloves are essential.....water does not seem to get much warmer than low 60's in the NE area even in the summer...if you want to stay in the water for any length of time or do more than one tank, you won't regret the purchase...

eBay is a good source, I've found
