This last Saturday the air temps were cold in Me/NH area. 34ish with sea temps 47

Surfaced at one point and after dropping back down found the lens of my mask had frozen. It looked like old time windows you see in Strawberry bank or something -- blurry.

I'm assuming the air temps did this. Any special precaution to take (a preventative) or prescribed solution? It melted within about 5 minutes once under but still, am curious

you dont have the heated model...

ive never had the ice that forms last much longer than a minnute
and usually rubbing the front of the lense it fell off....

You need to use the good golden Prestone fluid in the washers. The $.99 stuff dosen't cut it for diving.

It must have been a bit colder than what you thought for salt water to do that. 5 minutes underwater with poor vision, that's one to watch out for.

Geesh with a frozen mask on your face, it must have hurt to pull the mask off of your face.
