Thanks for the feedback. I am renting all my gear from a local dive shop. I'm too new at this to purchase my own gear yet. I'm hoping that they are going to give me the necessary gear so that I won't be cold. I'll certainly take the information you, and everyone else, has given to me and check it against what the dive shop is going to give to me. I'm a bit nervous about diving in the Great Lakes but I have to try it at least once. I'm hoping that I find I love it because then I have this great big lake to dive in on a regular basis. Rarely do I get the oppotunity to get to the "blue waters" of Mexico and beyond.

Be safe,Have the right exposure suit for the dive you plan,a 7mm is good for 50' range,but the lake dose get cold as you get deep!
But the wrecks are THE BEST!
