Thank you scubadada. Yes, Spotted trunkfish is something I try to shoot every time I see one. Usually fairly shy, as well.Love the Spotted Trunkfish, much less common than the Smooth Trunkfish
interesting. I just googled a spotted trunkfish, and i'm pretty sure I saw one while diving as well. either molasses or snapper reef. it was super cool but I thought it was a version of a puffer fish. are they related at all?

Thank you iamrushman. If that hidey hole was outside the spa, you could have had your limit in about 5 minutes. Right below that there were a few more.always enjoy your photos and report from my neighbors down south......thanks for sharing...and just how many lobsters can fit in one Volkswagen.. i meant one hole...(grin)
