Man that is really unfortunate and I hope you haven't done any permanent damage... hopefully in time everything will heal properly and you can safely return to diving.

In the future it's good not only to equalize early and equalize often, but should you find that you've forgotten to equalize and are feeling too much pressure.... stop your decent, ascend a couple of meters to relieve the excessive pressure and then equalize. Forceful equalization is, as you have learned the hard way not a good thing.
