I'm going to see if a mod will move this to the Cali forum. So nice of you to speak up. I just bought my lil sis one of those prescription masks - $200. Nothing to shake a stick at.

Oh and welcome to the board, friend :)

Was it a black mask in very shallow water with thick lenses in it and a number of snails (Tegula) living on it? I saw one that meets that description on a dive there two weekends ago.

The best thing to do in these cases is probably to turn them in at the fill station. However, glad you've posted it here as the rightful owner may be founbd.

Nice of you to post! I moved it to the SoCal forum - hopefully the right owner will find it here.

Not mine but glad you posted here and glad the mods switched this to So.Cal. Hopefully the right owner will speak up. Now that you found us locals, come dive with us. Check out all the fun we have here!

Hi N2Clim,
If you don't belong to a dive club & would like to join one there is one up here it's the Santa Clarita Dive Club & we meet the 2nd Wed. of every month except this month because of Val. day. We would be happy to see you at the meeting which is at Maries Deli on Lyons & Walnut.

John

P.S. Welcome to the board.

Ah! I knew there was a good reason, with the -9.5 diopter lenses in my mask, why I want it visible and neutrally-buoyant! I've got a lime-yellow/green Marsoops strap on mine.

Anyway, Carlos, welcome to ScubaBoard. Bravo Zulu regarding your honesty and your thoroughness. Hope you find the owner.

Marek, my fellow miopic! Great idea about the bright yeallow strap! I have -9.5/-10 as well...talk about a low volume mask...It's ALL lens in there! Have worried about loosing it...super careful in surf (I sometimes pull my hood back, and put the strap under for entries and exits).

Sorry to hijack your thread Carlos! As jmdiver said, you are welcome to join our local club, but if not interested, there are several seriously active divers in SCV and you can hook up when looking for a buddy. A friend of Billy's? We wont hold that against you...:D
