Found camera in rental truck

On July 21 I found a camera in a rental truck I had just picked up on Bonaire.

PM me if you lost a camera, with some details. I'd like to get this camera back to it's owner.

Having lost a camera myself, I know how painful losing one can be, as well as all of the pics one has taken on a dive vacation.

Just a thought call the rental company and see if they can get in touch with the last people that rented the truck.

Honestly, the rental office was so disorganized I doubt that they could find that info, and as difficult as the camera was to see where it was hidden, it may have been there for some time. I also did not think returning the camera to the rental office would help it get back to it's owner, after seeing how disorganized the staff seemed to be.

Some people take a picture of their info and leave it on the camera. Anyway to check?

What rental car company? might help narrow the possible owner

Rental agency was Budget at BON. My software can not read the memory card at all, and the camera battery has no charge left in it, so I can't review the images.

If someone has lost a camera, or knows someone who has, they can contact my by PM, and supply further info to claim it.

Jim while you eluded to it, you may want to revise your heading/first post to include the fact that the camera MAY (it appeared to be so) have been in the truck for a long time and was not a recent loss. I have another board I will post it on.

I also posted a notice on Bonaire Talk today.

I seriously doubt that the camera was in the truck for a terribly long time, as I found it very quickly one day 1, shortly after I picked the truck up to replace the POS they stuck me with on arrival.

Well if it is a sealife mini II with a name on the side in yellow marker it could be mine but I lost mine in GC. Would be quite a story if it made it to Bon and found itself inside a truck.
