Wow! It is great that the temps are finally rising! I just wish the vis would also. Thanks for the report Glen.

Thanks for the report! Looks like the removed the oil boom that was there a week ago.
I have got to get a recent map for the site, or get up with a couple of you guys that know it well. I've been there three or so times, always with <10' viz, and have been very inconsistent when looking for features like the pipe organ & jeep.
The oil booms washed up on shore and broke apart, they are still there, they are just piled up on the beaches now.
I would love to re-map pickens if you guys wanted to spend a day out there doing it! I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of where everything is but seem to find something new everytime I'm out there
The pipe organ (aka rocket launcher!) is straight down from the big tire and spikes, as you are going down you should see a pipe with a tire around it, keep going down from there and just to the east you'll see it.
The jeep is out in the middle of no where, head down to 23-25ft and just swim east and you'll run right into it.
wjefferis (Walter) has a long tape he purchased to remap Fort Pickens. He has been tied up with work lately. He told me that he should be free here in the next few weeks. He was very excited about remapping Pickens. He also has a good knowledge of where everything is. PM Walter and you might be able to set something up. Let us all know if you guys work something out. We might be able to make it a Deep Dixie Diver event....and for the record, I still like the "Pipe Organ" name over the rocket launcher.![]()
The pipe organ was the first thing we went to after we landed on the toilet, the place where the octopus was, its the box that has pvc pipes in it
What exactly is the "pipe organ"? The "jeep" looked more like a gulf cartto me.
