In south Fl, you don´t need wetsuit..temp is about 85F, I normally do not use it, but if U want you could use a shorty.

I've seen more big stuff on the shore dive reefs. And there aren't any a$$oles to drive them away.

I'm not knocking shore dives here, and I've seen some pretty cool stuff on them but no way you consistently see more "big stuff" on the shore dives. Not even close.
Shore Dives and Cattle Boats both suck....

I'm totally serious. Between the pier and mooring balls @LBTS, I've seen:
A Manta Ray
A giant Morey Eel
Turtles
Nurse Sharks
Some large Barracuda and lots of smaller ones
Eagle Rays
Stingrays
Tarpon
And a conga-line of lobsters
I've rarely seen anthing large on a (non-feeding) boat dive.
