I heard (not first hand) the town will be applying for FEMA aid to cover the cost of cleanup and repair. I missed the main event yesterday by an hour or so; drat. But this morning I was able to view the effects: The pier is damaged; lobster traps are stranded in bushes 50+ feet from the water's edge (and even then had to be flung over large rocks and beyond a path); rocks of various sizes litter, or completely cover, the path in many areas; a concrete capped sewer outlet was been broken off.
