Here's the formula bring back ancient (for me) memories of high school science :cool:

Ideal Gas Law: PV=nRT

P=Pressure
V=Volume
n= amount of gas
R= ideal gas constant (or fudge factor)
T= temperature


Google ideal gas law, Charles's Law and Boyle's law for lots of background and examples if you want more of the theory and math than the PADI texts supply.

And for SCUBA - Boyle can stand for: Breathe Or Your Lungs Explode
That's a good one for Boyle's law. I tend to remember it by picturing a noisy rooster meeting its end after being filled with air and sent up from 40 meters.

I'm not an instructor, only just started DM training.
However, I studied maths at university and have some experience teaching maths.
