fluid draining from nose

As other have noted, its just the normal discharge of water that has gotten up into your sinuses during a dive.

I have the same problem. Mostly because a bit of water leaks by my moustache and then I forget to clear before going upside down or doing a barrel roll.

I just tip my head forward and drain it after a dive --- usually remembering to do it about the same time I dump the excess water out of my BCD bladder.

My wife sometimes uses a netti pot to rinse her sinuses. I just go diving.

When I use to surf, many moons ago, the occasional sea water draining from my nose was not pleasant to see but did happen. A friend of mine shared an embarrassing experience he had... after surfing all morning he had dinner at his girlfriend's house, as her father was taking to him his sinuses just let loose and drained. I can just imagine him trying to explain the reason for the drainage to a non-surfer father.

I surf also and have the same problem sometimes afterwards, especially if it's kinda big and I've gotten slapped a few times. Tell your friends that it's holy water and has magical healing properties
