Awesome thanks, I've read that the Fling is a slightly better boat than the Spree, I also hear the Sea Searcher II is good too, anyone know which is best? I've done a lot of diving around the Channel Islands out of Ventura, CA. The trick there was figuring out which boat to take out. Out there you could spend anywhere between $300 (out of Santa Barbara) and $65 for going to the same sites. Since I went nearly every weekend possible, every dollar and travel times counted most. Also, the conditions there changed so much that 3 out of 4 trips usually sucked but the one that was good was unreal and worth it. Got my fingers crossed for good weather :14:

Sea Searcher's a bit smaller but a heck of a lot less crowded. Not to imply that the Fling and Spree are standing room only, but some folks like a bit more elbow room.

Must be faster too, guess I'll have to try them all. The main boat I used to take out to the Channel Islands had a hot tub on it too, great for the trip back after 4 dives in <70F summer water (or ~50F in the winter).

Most of the boats will go out as long as the seas are under 5ft.

I just got the word from Tom's Dive and Ski that the trip was cancelled. You should call the dive shop you booked your trip through to confirm

Sorry everyone
