OK, I am on my way and no reason to believe I wont have my c-card by the end of August (or sooner). I've been doing a ton of reading on this forum and elsewhere. If I've learned anything I learned that it is best to get the stuff together in a package (just like my PADI book says). Made sense to me. Also, many of you guys love scubatoys. So, I've been shopping around. I have decent fins, mask and snorkel which will be ok for the time being. I am looking at BC & regulator packages. Scubatoys has a few on their site:
Scuba Packages, BC & Regulator Packages Dive Systems
They range form under $400 to over $1,700. This is a wide range.
Can you guys offer any guidance?

I think I am partial to analog gauges (I find them easier to read in all lighting conditions and harder to read wrong). Am I off the beaten path? Is there a reason to go digital? Also, any regulators worth looking into or any with known issues?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time & info.
