I'm a Fish!
As long as I’ve hunted treasures underwater, I’ve hoped to find an intact stoneware crock, with a beautiful cobalt-blue, hand-painted design, cast in the mid-19th century. My hopes were tempered by the fact that I had found but a few shards of these crocks over the years…

That ended a few days ago when I pulled ( very carefully! ), this fantastic specimen from the soft bottom sediment. It has a few cracks, but they can be expertly repaired. This crock was likely cast c.1860 - dreams do come true!
