Well after fighting with myself to finally buy my own gear (I miss the army providing everything) I buckled down and bought my whole setup.. Now i just want to dive. Looking for dive buddies in the Venice area. I'm not too into Shark toothing but will go just to be underwater. Wow i feel like im typing out a personals add.... well i do like long walks on the beach and romantic dinners :eyebrow: . Let me know if anyone wants to get wet.

Hey Welcome to the Board.

Check out the Greater Tampa subforum...lots of people post shore dives in Venice/Bradenton there as well as boat trips out of St. Pete's.

Cheers.

So get out and dive!! I went from only doing a few dives a month with rental gear to something like 150 in the first year after buying my own gear - there is a certain sense of freeing yourself to go whenever you want, choose whatever charter or location you want (so long as you can find a buddy), etc, once you own your own gear.

If you want to meet some SB folks to start up buddying with, there is a get together at the beach at the end of Alhambra late June in the Trips section.

welcome to the board...i just bought most of my gear just missing tanks....but having everything does make you feel FREE!...
