Might want to try Power Pro Line on your reel. 40 # PP Has the diameter of 10# monofilament. That means a lot less drag when the current is roaring.

Thanks, the DGX Dacron is stronger than #36 nylon and thinner than #24 nylon, seems to to do pretty well and is highly visible. I will look into your suggestion
