Hi,

I purchased a pair of Atomic Split Fins. The boots I have are 7mm Henderson's with a thick sole. They fit in the pocket kind of snugly.

My question is - how snug is too snug for the foot pocket? I don't want them to fit in a way that will allow side to side slipping, or twisting. But I don't want them so snug they'll make my feet hurt.

I have to try these out in the water to see if they're the right size. I was curious to see if anyone had any advice or experiences in this department. Maybe something I should know before I get them wet and can't exchange them.

Thanks!

IMO: Atomic foot pockets aren't tall enough at the opening for MY feet - maybe yours, too. They squeeze my feet at the arch close to the ankle. Try tusa zooms. Much better in many respects. See the other atomic thread here for my comparison.

That's my $0.02. Hope it helps.
