Hi,
I'm changing the filter tower on my MCH6 to something a little larger (probably a Maxifilter) and was wondering what are peoples thoughts on what I could or should do with the older tower - the options are:

1. remove it entirely

2. convert it to become a secondary condensate trap. Would it remove additional vapour and oil before it hits the filter?

3. keep using it as a filter in place before the new main filter. Given the new filter is reasonably big for this compressor, I'm not sure there is much benefit to doing this.

There's nothing wrong with the old tower and gas plenty of life in it.
Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

What larger filter/housing did you end up going with?

I'm going with the Maxifilter as a replacement. It's physically larger, so some modifications in the layout of the compressor will be required which is not too much of an issue.
