I accidentally had a full Costco box of unexposed 200 ASA film packed in some checked luggage on a trip to Honduras through LAX baggage screening. When I realized what happened in Honduras, I carefully marked them, shot a few rolls, and hoped for the best. The film came back via carry-on luggage. I didn't notice any major degradation of picture quality when I got back. I was expecting total fuzz.

I normally use one of those lead bags to carry my film with no problems, but we were on a medical mission and at the packing party, people just tossed the film in a suitcase. I won't risk it next time.
